Curriculum Information

Below you will find a little bit of information about the learning that takes place here at Little Ealing in each year group.

 

At Little Ealing we are able to offer a well-rounded curriculum with specialist teachers in Music, Art, PE and Languages. We also offer a wide range of trips, including 2 residential weeks away (details below).

Trips and Workshops:

 

Whole School: Seasonal Pantomime for KS2 and Magic Show for Nursery, Reception and KS1

 

Nursery: Summer trip to Hounslow Urban Farm, local walks and bus / tube trips.

 

Reception: Summer trip to Odds Farm Park and Local Walks.

 

Year 1: Workshop in school on the Body and Push and Pull (Forces), plus a trip to Gunnersbury Museum and Kew Gardens.

 

Year 2: Visits to a Gurdwara, a Church, London Zoo, Gunnersbury Museum and RAF Hendon. Workshops also held in school on materials, electricity and Florence Nightingale. Visits from a local gardener and the Fire Services. The Children will also go on Local Walks.

 

Year 3: Visits to a West Wittering and the Roman site of Verulamium. Workshops in school on the Romans and animal encounters.

 

Year 4: Trips to the British Library, British Museum and Kew Gardens and workshops in school on the Egyptians, Saxon Settlers and Ancient Greece. 

 

Year 5: A Viking visit and trips to the Science Museum and Chiswick Pier. Workshops in school on the Aztecs and the night sky. In Year 5 pupils spend a week away at the JCA Condover Hall centre in Shropshire..

 

Year 6: Visits to the Globe Theatre, National Gallery, Museum of London, the Houses of Parliament and Sky TV. The BAA Stixx Challenge. In Year 6 pupils spend a week away on the Isle of Wight, learning how to sail and surf.
