Music at Little Ealing

Music at LEPS

At Little Ealing, we are committed to providing a rich and diverse musical experience to all pupils, both inside and outside the classroom.

From Reception to Year 6, all children have one specialist music lesson per week in the music room taught by Mr Maud.

The Governing Body and the PTFA of Little Ealing are committed to supporting our music programme and have agreed to fund the playing of instruments in Years 3 and 4. In Year 3, children are gifted a recorder which they learn to play as a class and in Year 4, they take part in the Whole Class Ensemble Tuition programme, delivered by Ealing Music Service, where they learn trumpet or trombone and have the chance to take the instruments home.

Outside the classroom, we also offer a wide range of instrumental tuition, choirs, and a school orchestra - as well as workshops from visiting musicians. Our twice-termly performance programme, Little Ealing LIVE!, gives children the chance to hear live music of the highest quality and learn about the lives of working musicians.
